CIRCULAR 2024
Hameln, June 2024
In the 2024 gardening season, we would like to remind you of a few points that are known to every gardening enthusiast, but are sometimes forgotten. And also to inform you about news. This is not meant to be done with a raised finger, but to remind you of important things, to serve as information for our new members and to ensure good cooperation in our colony.
Community work
• 10 hours of work must be completed per year for each garden. If this is not done, each hour will be charged at €20.00.
• According to the members' resolution, 5 hours must be completed by June 15th, the remaining 5 hours by October 31st
or by the last date of community work. Billing for hours not completed is done every six months.
• We ask gardening enthusiasts who are credited with community work for mowing the lawn and trimming hedges on the fences to actually complete these tasks. If the maintenance is not carried out properly, the hours will be charged.
• Dates for the community work are posted in the display case at the clubhouse. In the event of heavy rain, the date will be moved to the following Saturday.
• If you cannot attend for health reasons or because of your job, please speak to the board.
Building regulations
• Building regulations must be observed. The size of a garden house must not exceed 24 square meters of enclosed space,
12 square meters of outdoor seating (open on two sides). Any addition, conversion or new construction of a garden house or tool shed must be approved. Plans must be submitted to the board for this purpose. If these regulations are not observed, the costs for any demolition will be borne by the gardening enthusiast.
Trailer rental
• If necessary, please call our 2nd chairman, Kai Dortmund, two days in advance and reserve the trailer (0162 785 431 8)
Observance of quiet times
• Quiet times according to the ordinance of the city of Hameln must be observed throughout the year. This is especially true for the lunch break from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and for the weekend
Saturday, from 5 p.m. (decision of the 2021 Annual General Meeting).
• Every gardening enthusiast should have the courage to speak to their neighbor in a friendly manner if this is not the case. Everyone will accept a friendly word. The board does not always have to be called in. We allotment gardeners in our colony are a community and should be considerate of one another.
• The machine times in our colony are as follows:
• Lawnmowers, aggregates and motor equipment
Mon-Fri 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and
3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Sat 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and
3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Paths
• Every gardening enthusiast must keep the paths bordering their individual garden free of weeds and clean up to half the width. A new layer of gravel makes this work much easier. It may be possible to organize a collective order from the gravel works with several gardens. The collective order must be organized independently among gardening enthusiasts. • If building materials, rubble or other materials are dumped on the paths with the approval of the board in the absence of a special transfer point, these materials must be removed within 24 hours and the path must be cleared of the waste. Damage must be repaired by the person responsible or the board will invoice the cost of the removal. Volunteering • We would like to point out again that the association cannot exist without members who work on a voluntary basis. Without a board, lawyers would have to take over the day-to-day business, which would be much more expensive. Or the colony would be closed completely. You too would certainly want your concerns to be handled carefully. • The association works because volunteers take care of many things. They are prepared to sacrifice their free time in the interest of the community. Many of the tasks to be done are not even known to many gardening enthusiasts. They are done without much fuss. • Club life is running smoothly. The billing of rents and all other tasks is done on time and smoothly, invitations to members' meetings are sent out in good time.
• We would therefore like to ask you once again to think about whether you would like to take on a voluntary position in your garden colony (e.g. operations manager, equipment manager or on the entertainment committee). If you are interested, please contact the first chairman, Ronny Wünn, Tel.: 0155 / 60023792.
Address changes
• Please inform us of any address changes as soon as possible so that our mail (newspaper,
circulars) can reach you and we can also notify you in emergencies (burglary, storm damage, etc.).
• You can find us on Facebook under “Hastebacher-Gartenfreunde” and our homepage at
www.kgv-am-hastebach-ev.de
Dogs
• Dog owners have respect for people who are afraid of dogs. Therefore, please make sure that
your dogs do not jump over fences into other gardens. Experienced dog owners also keep their dogs on a short leash on the paths, and especially when children come along! This then also promotes the understanding of non-dog owners. Please be considerate.
• Keeping small animals (chickens, rabbits, etc.) is prohibited in our garden colony according to the Federal Allotment Garden Act.
Burning of garden waste and rubbish
• The burning of garden waste and rubbish, including leaves, has been prohibited since January 1, 2015 according to the Recycling Management Act
(KrWG). Anyone who burns leaves in the garden is committing an administrative offence that can be punished with a fine. In addition, no fire barrels
allowed, only fire bowls with a maximum diameter of 1 m.
Trampolines
• As you have already seen in our gardening magazine and our display case at the clubhouse,
there are new regulations regarding trampolines in the garden. Setting up trampolines as play equipment in the
allotment garden must be clarified with the board. The consent of the neighbors must be obtained for a
positive neighborhood relationship. At the end of the gardening season, dismantling is necessary in order to
prevent possible storm damage, etc. higher-level regulations of the state or local associations must be
observed. The size should not exceed 3.5 square meters and an appropriate distance from the neighbor's garden must be
maintained. It is best to discuss this with your neighbor. The quiet times must be
observed. The trampoline must be set up according to the manufacturer's specifications and anchored securely in the
ground. Any liability for users and damage to third parties lies with the set-up party or the tenant of the plot. The board can revoke the permission to set up the trampoline if the specifications are not complied with.
We wish you all a successful gardening year in 2024. We would be happy to receive suggestions and constructive criticism. Just talk to us or send us an email to: info_kgv_am.hastebach@yahoo.com Kind regards, Your board (R. Wünn, K. Dortmund, S. Wünn, K. Henze, R. Nagel, M. Kühne)
